 HenryCare has extensive experience with minor home modifications throughout New South Wales. Our service usually involves installation of items designed and built to exacting quality specifications in our manufacturing facility. This ensures consistency of design and construction standards. In 2003 we were selected as the preferred Supplier to provide this service to the 100,000 War Veterans throughout the state.
Rails are built to AS1428.1 where applicable and all rails when installed comply with the 1,100 Newton force (110kg load) requirement of the Australian Standard. These include concrete half steps, shower screen removal, hob lowering, under carpet wedges, relocation of light switches and power points, removing doors, etc.

| • Cut down baths |
|
A useful bathroom modification perfected by HenryCare is a cut down bath which allows users with minimal leg raising ability to continue to use a bath. This modification is suitable for all types of baths, including pressed metals, plastic, fibre glass, and caste iron. The cut away section on the bath allows easy leg access, particularly when used with a swivel bath seat. The length of the cut away section on the side of the bath is normally around 500mm to 600mm.
Because the level of water in the bath is reduced to a maximum of 100mm by this modification the bath is also fitted with a bath seat and a hand shower. (Refer to the Bath & Shower section on this website for these products).
This bath modification has been carried out for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Australia and can lead to significant savings with bathroom redesign for disabled or elderly clients. A major modification to the entire bathroom is not required. |
